Breeders and Members of the American Russell Terrier Foundation Club agree to subscribe and uphold the following Code of Ethics...
1. Keep the welfare and health of the Russell Terrier breed first in breeding, selling, and exhibiting Russell Terriers.
2. Breed only to improve the dogs to the Standard of the Russell Terrier Breed.
3. Maintain high standards in the care of your dogs.
4. Do not sell stock without true representation and full disclosure of any known problems to the purchaser, and never use 
misleading or untruthful statements in selling or advertising.

6. Refuse stud service to any bitch that has faults grossly detrimental to the breed in conformation, genetic health, or temperament.

9. Help purchasers with advice and instruction for the life of the dog and pass on knowledge to novice persons interested in AKC events.

ARTICLE I - NAME AND OBJECTS
SECTION 1. The name of the Club shall be the AMERICAN RUSSELL TERRIER FOUNDATION CLUB herein referred to as ARTFC or the Club.
SECTION 2. The objects of the Club shall be.
a.to do all possible to bring the natural qualities of the Russell Terrier to perfection;

SECTION 4. The members of the Club shall adopt and may from time to time revise such Bylaws as may be required to carry out these objectives. The Constitution of the Club can only be changed to reflect a name change for the Club or the breed.
SECTION 5. Honorary Membership are permanent voting members of the Club and cannot be removed as such by revision of the Bylaws or any other means, nor can there be additional Honorary Memberships bestowed after December 31, 2005. Honorary Members are not required to pay dues to be current members and are listed in Article XI.
